House of ZK Weekly Newsletter

This week at @HouseofZK, we completed the publishing of the full video archive from last months @eth_proofs Summit, featuring every keynote, panel, and interview, and we released a detailed article recapping the event.

Our reports covered the latest technical advances across the zkVM, zkL1, coprocessing, and cross-chain ecosystems - from @Agglayer's OP Stack SDK to @AleoHQ's view key compliance, and @brevis_zk's trustless incentive platform.

We also released new HoZK Radio episodes with @hibachi_xyz and @GOATRollup, where we explored the future of ZK-powered exchanges and infrastructure for trust-minimized Bitcoin yield.

Below, we break down the most relevant updates across the ZK space this week, all in one place

The HoZK Ethproofs Summit: A Major Step Toward Transparent, Standardized ZK Infrastructure

Exactly one month on from our @eth_proofs Summit, we published a full recap of the event - detailing all twelve sessions focused around zkVM design, benchmarking methodologies, and infrastructure maturity.

Full article: https://hozk.io/journal/the-hozk-ethproofs-summit-a-major-step-toward-transparent-standardized-zk-infrastructure

The article highlights how the event surfaced five key priorities for the future of ZK:

Benchmarks must reflect production environments.

zkVM diversity increases resilience and design parallelism.

Proof infrastructure is now protocol infrastructure.

Validator-side proving is becoming viable.

Security must be treated as a first-class design constraint.

Fundamentally, the summit confirmed what many already suspected: @ethereum is all-in on ZK, and coordination around metrics, formats, and governance is critical to its next phase.

We published two new @HouseofZK Radio episodes this week, plus a key insight from our @eth_proofs Summit interview with @drakefjustin:

#57: @DacEconomy (@ProjectZKM) & @sd_eigen (@GOATRollup)

Recorded live at the Bitcoin Economy Conference in Las Vegas, this episode explores how ZKM’s zkVM powers GOAT Network’s Bitcoin Layer 2.

Ming and Stephen unpack the concept of entangled rollups, real-time proof generation, proof aggregation across thousands of blocks, and the transition from validator trust to mathematical guarantees → https://open.spotify.com/episode/0tEZKP9XKOhbMOKL9ZYbPp

#58: @michael_hibachi (@hibachi_xyz)

What would it take to build a trustless exchange with centralized performance?

In this episode, Michael Blind explains Hibachi’s core architecture - ZK-proven offchain execution with onchain settlement - and how it removes the tradeoff between speed and trust.

We cover regulatory implications, the future of exchange infrastructure, and why ZK is the unlock → https://open.spotify.com/episode/2MAleAKZawUijbqjwhXWmU

Justin Drake on zkVM Diversity and Fault Isolation, from the live interview at our Ethproofs Summit:

Justin explained the logic behind Ethereum’s current strategy to avoid enshrining a single zkVM. Off-chain zkVMs with uncorrelated failure domains mirror Ethereum’s consensus design - enabling validators to require k-of-n zkVM agreement per block.

He also highlighted other advantages to zkVM diversity, including: “Each team comes up with a mini-breakthrough… and when you compound all those, you get something really amazing.” → Full Interview: https://hozk.io/radio#55-Justin-Drake-Researcher-at-Ethereum-Foundation
